Although i grew up in Sunday school, drinking, smoking, dealing and gang warfare became my lifestyle: after a number of near misses, i finally answered the call of God. I got saved in 1997 and went into church; The necessary support was not there for me and although it was difficult, i knew God called me and soldiered on. I was helping out Shekinah Ministries though not a core member at the time, and went to a different type of church to the other guys in the sound system. God led me to the right church a couple of years later where things began to make sense. Like any true (Christian) believer, i`ve had my setbacks, disappointments, hurts, failures, made bad decisions and even lost my focus; – in other words, “fallen short of the glory of God.” If i didn`t know better, i would say God was struggling to complete the work he began in me; but i know he is in total control as he gives me grace and strength of character to get up and move on every time. My salvation is real, my experiences are real, and i wouldn`t have it any other way! I believe it is important to make a positive impact in the real world for which Christ died, and NOT try to shine your LIGHT in the (church) LIGHT!! I have come to realize that it is one thing to be in church, but quite another to have a “personal” relationship with God. During my times of reflection, it was brought back to my mind that anything done in doubt will never make you happy or even satisfied; and not only do you displease God by not acting in faith, but you really only cheat yourself out of something better and will eventually suffer the consequences!

Fulfilling my calling and serving my purpose has always been my greatest desire. It is no secret that i have an interest in black issues and leaders of the past where racism and injustices are concerned. This is often expressed through my poetry, using humour and wisdom, clear and to the point. This has proven to be quite entertaining as well as giving people something to think about!

After an 18 month lay off, Bro keith was privileged to be invited to do poetry at a number of events in and around the city   including: Bcc`s Easter event (in the city centre),Calvary church womens event in Luton, Radio leicester Live with Dulcie Dixon, CBLC`s 4th annual awards event, and more.

God has renewed my faith and restored the joy of my salvation; and although i support my local church with events, stewarding, poetry etc; attending church week in, week out, is not my priority!!   Again rolling with SHEKINAH (sound) MINISTRIES, my love for music has seen me progress as a dj, fulfilling private bookings around the city as well as having a weekly spot on a top online radio station in Birmingham uk, JAMRADIO. This gives me the opportunity to pump out the “good news” via Gospel Reggae and Conscious music to Communities across the world, “fighting against spiritual wickedness in high and low places“(Ephesians 6:12)

REJOICE NOT AGAINST ME, OH MINE ENEMY: WHEN I FALL, I SHALL ARISE; WHEN I SIT IN DARKNESS, THE LORD SHALL BE A LIGHT UNTO ME.  (Micah 7:8)
